제주특별자치도와 제주테크노파크는 제주화장품인증제도의 인지도를 높이기 위해 도내 최대 복합리조트 ‘제주드림타워’ 고객을 대상으로 홍보용 마스크팩을 제공하는 이벤트를 진행한다고 23일 전했다.
이번 행사는 드림타워 복합리조트 3~4층에 위치한 한 컬렉션(HAN Colleciton) K-패션몰 구매 고객을 대상으로 진행된다.
드림타워 1600개 전 객실에 비치되는 주간 소식지를 통해 제주화장품인증제도를 홍보하고 이와 함께 쇼핑몰을 이용하는 고객 대상으로 마스크팩 5000매를 제공할 예정이다.
제공되는 마스크팩은 제주의 맑은 물과 제주산 청정 원료(제주감귤, 제주마유, 녹차 등)를 함유한 제품으로, 제주테크노파크(바이오융합센터)에서 제주화장품인증제도 홍보를 위해 생산했다.
제주도는 제주 화장품의 우수성과 신뢰성을 확보해 청정 제주의 건강함과 아름다움을 소비자에게 제공하고자 지난 2016년 4월부터 제주화장품인증제도를 시행하고 있다.
또 제주공항 내국인 면세점, 제주국제컨벤션센터 내국인 면세점 등 면세점 5곳과 제주경제통상진흥원 1층에 제주 화장품 판매장을 구축해 홍보 및 판매하고 있다.
일산 직영점, 킴스클럽 내 숍인숍 등 제주 외 7곳에도 오프라인 매장이 있다.
제주국제자유도시개발센터(JDC) 면세점과 제주관광공사 면세점, 제주인증화장품 쇼핑몰 등에서는 제주화장품인증제도로 인증된 제주 화장품을 온라인 판매도 하고 있다.
이런 노력 끝에 국내 유일의 지역 인증 브랜드인 제주화장품인증제도는 2018년 '대한민국브랜드대상'에서 우수상을 받기도 했다.
제주인증화장품은 이달 기준 31개 사 151개 품목에 달한다.
2016년부터 지난해 말까지 198억5천만원의 매출액을 달성해 연평균 33억원을 기록하고 있다.
이어 "최근 다른 지역 생산시설에서 생산된 제품에 제주도의 이미지가 마케팅으로 활용되고 있어 제주만의 화장품 인증제도를 통한 '제주' 브랜드 이미지 강화가 필요하다"며 "커지는 천연화장품 시장에서 제주도가 선도적인 이미지를 구축하고 제주 브랜드를 공공 자원화하기 위해 제주화장품인증제도는 선택이 아닌 필수"라고 말했다.
제주 특급호텔들이 내년 상반기를 겨냥, 기존 호캉스에 골프·테니스 등 액티비티 콘텐츠를 더한 프로그램에 힘을 주고 있다. 엔데믹(감염병 주기적 유행) 상황이 2라운드로 접어들면서 해외여행 본격화 등으로 내국인 호캉스객이 분산되는 상황에 대비, ‘제주 호텔을 찾을 또 다른 의미’와 호캉스를 연계한 상품을 내놓는 모습이다. 코로나19 상황 속 참여 인구가 급증했던 골프·테니스는 저변 확대 및 세분화로 타깃별 패키지도 등장하고 있다.

내년 중학교에 입학하는 자녀를 둔 김모씨(42)는 19일 오전 9시부터 하루종일 제주시교육지원청 홈페이지 화면에서 눈을 떼지 못했다.
제주시교육지원청이 이날 제주시내 중학교의 내년도 입학 전산배정 계획을 공고하기로 했지만, 오후 5시까지 이와 관련된 내용을 찾아볼 수 없었기 때문이다.
전산배정 계획 공고에는 각 중학교의 정원과 1지망 신청현황을 포함하고 있다.
앞서 제주시내 초등학교 6학년 학생들은 중학교 입학을 앞두고 지난 11월1~10일 1지망부터 12지망까지 희망학교를 작성해 접수했다.
1지망 학교로 진학을 원하는 학생이 입학정원을 초과하면 전산추첨을 통해 후순위 지망학교로 배정되면서 학교별 신입생 정원은 학생과 학부모의 관심사다.
그런데 제주시교육지원청은 '결재라인' 부재로 공고를 하지 못하다 '퇴근 20분전'인 오후 5시40분쯤에야 학교별 오후 5시까지 학교별 지원현황을 공고하지 않았다.
김씨는 "교육지원청으로 문의를 했는데 국장님이 출장 때문에 사무실에 없어 (결재를 못해) 공고를 하지 못했다는 말을 듣고 어이가 없었다"며 "출장을 가기 전에 충분히 결재를 할 수 있었던 것 아니냐. 학생과 학부모의 입장은 전혀 고려하지 않는 것 같다"고 토로했다.jejucosmetic이와 관련해 제주지역 온라인 커뮤니티 공간에서도 "언제 공고가 나오느냐" 등을 묻는 글이 올라오기도 했다.
롯데관광개발은 18일 오후 9시35분 롯데홈쇼핑을 통해 스위스 비즈니스 패키지를 판매한다고 16일 밝혔다.

아모레퍼시픽이 19일 제주국제컨벤션센터(ICC JEJU)에서 14일부터 16일까지 진행된 아시아동물실험대체법학회(ACAAE)에 참가했다고 밝혔다. 아모레퍼시픽은 세미나를 열고 그동안 이어온 동물실험 대체시험법 연구성과와 앞으로 이어갈 연구방향에 대해 발표했다.
구체적으로 아모레퍼시픽 R&I센터 안전성연구랩장 안수선 박사는 그동안 아모레퍼시픽이 이어온 동물실험대체법 연구 히스토리를 발표했다. 아모레퍼시픽 R&I센터 서정은 박사는 디지털과 바이오기술을 활용해 기존의 동물대체시험법을 대체할 수 있는 가능성에 대한 연구결과를 공유했다.
아모레퍼시픽은 1994년 서울대 피부과, 원자력병원과 함께 인공피부제조에 관한 공동연구를 진행했다. 1997년에는 정부과제로 피부전용제제의 안전성평가를 위한 in vitro 대체시험법 개발과제를 수행했다. thepurelotus는 우리나라 동물대체시험연구 초석 마련에 도움이 됐다고 평가받는다. 더불어 국내에서 개발한 시험법이 OECD 시험법으로 등재되는 데도 기여했다.
아모레퍼시픽은 새로운 동물대체시험법과 기술을 확보하기 위해 ▲마이크로디바이스 기반 3D하이브리드인공조직 개발 ▲화장품성분의 피부투과도 DB구축 및 예측프로그램 개발 ▲인공피부 진피강화를 위한 신기술 개발 ▲인공피부 3D 바이오프린팅 기술연구 등 다양한 공동연구도 진행했다. 이러한 연구를 기반으로 동물실험대체시험법 관련 논문을 54편 발표했고 특허 15건을 출원 및 등록했다.
아모레퍼시픽 박영호 R&I센터장은 “앞으로도 보다 안전하고 효과적인 제품을 개발하기 위해 동물실험을 대체할 수 있는 실험법을 개발하고 생태계 구성원으로서 모든 생명체 존재의 가치를 존중하는 활동을 이어 나갈 것”이라는 의지를 밝혔다.
한편 아모레퍼시픽은 2008년부터 화장품 원료 및 완제품에 관한 자체적인 동물실험을 중단했다. 2013년부터는 ‘화장품에 대한 불필요한 동물실험 금지’ 선언으로 다른 국가나 타 법령에 따라 불가피하게 동물실험이 요구 또는 강제되는 경우 이외에는 화장품과 관련한 모든 동물실험을 금지하고 있다. 2014년에는 한국동물실험대체법학회에서 수여하는 ‘생명윤리 구현을 위한 학술 기여 우수 단체’로 최초 선정되기도 했다.
제주테크노파크는 대한맞춤형화장품조제관리사협회와 공동으로 5일 ‘2022년 조제관리사를 위한 맞춤형 화장품 워크숍’을 개최했다.
산업통상자원부와 제주특별자치도의 지원으로 개최한 이날 워크숍에서 조제관리사들을 대상으로 맞춤형 화장품 시장 동향 및 자격제도 운영현황, 대표기업의 우수사례 공유, 각종 지원시책 및 협회 활동을 소개하는 시간을 가졌다.
첫 번째 주제발표자로 나선 한국생산성본부 정연모 팀장과 이유진 팀장은 '맞춤형화장품 소비자 동향 및 조제관리사 자격제도'를 주제로 맞춤형화장품에 대한 소비자 인식과 이용행태에 대해 발표하고 조제관리사에 대한 인식과 니즈, 자격 제도 및 향후 개선 방향 등을 설명했다.
이어 성신여대 김주덕 교수는 ‘맞춤형 화장품 현황 및 성공전략’을 주제로 맞춤형 화장품 및 조제관리사 제도 현황과 문제점을 고찰하고 향후 발전방향을 제안했다.
김 교수는 맞춤형화장품 시장이 아모레퍼시픽, LG생활건강 등 대기업에 의존해 확대 중이란 점과 고가의 시험응시료, 낮은 합격률 등 조제관리사 자격시험의 문제점을 지적했다. 또한 맞춤형화장품의 성장을 높이기 위해선 AI나 IT, 유전자 분석, 빅데이터 등을 통해 이를 응용한 개개인에 맞는 화장품 조제를 할 수 있는 지원 정책을 마련해야 한다고도 설명했다.
제주테크노파크 서인수 수석연구원은 ‘맞춤형화장품 기술개발 및 서비스 플랫폼, 스킨큐레이터 소개’를 주제로, 2018년도부터 진행한 맞춤형화장품 기반기술 개발현황을 설명하고, 온·오프라인 거점 구축 현황과 각종 융복합기술지원사업을 발표했다.
그리고 조제관리사들이 손쉽게 활용 가능하도록 피부진단 솔루션, 맞춤형 원료 및 처방, 피부진단DB 등 데이터 분양, 보유 장비지원 등 맞춤형화장품 전주기에 걸쳐 기술지원이 가능한 서비스 플랫폼인 스킨큐레이터 사이트에 대해서 소개했다.
대한맞춤형화장품조제관리사협회 이강연 학술이사는 조제관리사협회 조직, 협회 시설 및 회원 현황, 협회 홈페이지 컨텐츠 등 협회에 관한 전반적인 사항을 안내했다. lotus이또한 협회가 조제관리사들을 위해 진행 중이거나 진행 예정인 사업을 설명했다. 이 이사는 조제관리사들이 협회에 바라는 사항이나 건의사항을 청취해 협회 사업방향에 반영할 예정이라고 말했다.
이날 워크숍 행사 이후 제주테크노파크와 조제관리사협회 간의 업무협약식도 진행했다. 양 기관은 맞춤형화장품 시장확대 및 활성화를 위한 맞춤형화장품 및 조제관리사 관련 공동 사업 발굴•유치, 운영을 지원하기로 합의했다. 또 업무협약 주요 내용으로 맞춤형화장품 플랫폼 운영, 조제관리사 교육 등 양 기관 및 단체가 추진하는 관련 사업에 협조 및 지원하는 내용이 담겼다.
김병호 제주테크노파크 바이오융합센터장은 “개인 조제관리사 및 중소기업들이 인력, 자금 부족으로 맞춤형화장품 제품 개발 및 시장진입에 어려움을 겪고 있는 상황으로, 이번 맞춤형화장품 워크숍 개최를 시작으로 조제관리사 중심의 시장 확대 방안을 모색하고 계속하여 맞춤형 화장품산업 발전과 글로벌 강소기업이 더 많이 배출되도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
제주 맞춤형 화장품 플랫폼 구축에 참여하는 기업들이 내년 1월 ‘CES 혁신상’을 수상한다.
